Ardnacross FarmArdnacross is a 1250 acre farm 5 miles south of Tobermory on the N E coast of Mull. It was purchased by the current owners in 1985. All the farm buildings were restored, including the construction/conversion of three additional houses. Ardnacross farm is now a successful enterprise and family home comprising five houses, three of which are let for holiday letting. The farm business runs a major fish farm site which is leased to Scottish Sea Farms, a Herd of Aberdeen Angus Cattle and a flock of Cheviot and Hebridean sheep. With over 2 miles of coast line, Ardnacross has superb access to the sound of Mull, The sea between Mull and the Mainland. We have 3 beautiful bays, two with small rivers flowing in to them, which offer ideal opportunities for picnics and viewing otters, seals, porpoises and dolphins. Ardnacross is one of the most important archeological sites on Mull. There has been continual historic activity dating back 5000 years with settlements and burial sites, Standing stones dating from 2500 BC, one of the only 2 Brochs on Mull. The name Ardnacross means the place of the crossing and was one of the main crossing points to the mainland dating from the 15th century. |

Holiday CottagesWe have three holiday cottages, which can accommodate 2 to 12 people. Our holiday cottages are well equipped and presented; all have an open fireplace or wood burning stove, making them warm and cosy whatever the time of year. Our holiday cottages are situated in an area of outstanding beauty with the coast a short walk away. Enjoy a picnic in the bays and coves, or watch the otters, seals and seabirds. For the complete living on a farm experience, we can normally supply our guests with our own beef and lamb, eggs from our own free range hens and wild venison from the hill. Full details of our holiday cottages at Ardnacross, Mull can be found on our main website: www.holidaycottages-mull.co.uk
